OUR blessing

Entrance Procession with entrance hymn.

The Priest begins:  In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 

​

Priest Greeting: The Lord be with you. 

​

People: And with your Spirit. 

​

Priest: Today we are here to celebrate and bless Sancti Ordo the organization, all its members, friends and family, and to bless its spring water to make Holy. 

​

Priest: Let us begin with a Profession of Faith: 

 

 

Priest:  Do you reject Satan? 

 

Response: I do. 

 

Priest:  And all his works? 

 

Response:  I do. 

 

Priest:  And all his empty promises? 

 

Response:  I do. 

 

Priest:  Do you believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth? 

 

Response:  I do. 

 

Priest:  Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered death and was buried, rose again from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father? 

 

Response:  I do. 

 

Priest:  Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting? 

 

Response:  I do. 

 

Priest:  In the waters of Baptism, we all died with Christ and rose with him to new life. Lord God, through Baptism you have called us to be your children.  Renew in us the grace of our Baptism, strengthen us in faith, hope, and charity, and keep us faithful to Christ all the days of our lives. Rivers of living water will flow from within him.  Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink. 

 

Prayer over the spring water. 

  

Priest: Blessed are you, Lord, all-powerful God, who in Christ, the living water of 

salvation, blessed and transformed us. Grant that, when we are sprinkled with this 

water or make use of it, we will be refreshed inwardly by the power of the Holy Spirit 

and continue to walk in the new life we received at baptism. We ask this through Christ 

our Lord. 

 

Priest adds a pinch of salt to the water. 

  

Response: Amen.

In Front of the Spring Water. 

 

Priest: O God, the creator of all things, by water and the Holy Spirit you have given the 

universe its beauty and fashioned us in your own image. 

 

The Blessed Spring water is added to the water storage.  

 

Priest: Let this water call to mind our baptism into Christ, who has redeemed us by his death and resurrection.” The Bessing has ended, go in peace.  In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
